Our secure web server has been restarted with our maintenance now completed.  The DNS for our web site URL shadetreepowersports.com has been changed from leading you directly to our forum, back to the web server.  This may take a little time this morning to fully propogate across all DNS servers on the internet and into your services on your local computer to reach us at our regular URL of www.shadetreepowersports.com.  Be assured our service is back online and ready to take your orders, questions, etc.

Thank you all for your patience tonight.  For those I chatted with on our forum directly while our upgrade was being done, thank you for your input and feedback on our site and positive feedback on our services and associates.

Shade Tree Customers....

Our web server will be changing back to direct you to our regular web site here momentarily once our server upgrade finshes its final backup.  It may take a few moments to propogate across the Internet DNS when we make the change here.  There may be a bit of time you will still be directed back to our forum here, or you may receive a "PAGE NOT FOUND" error.  Be assured, our web site will come up once the DNS propogates across your web service you are running.  This is done mostly within a few moments of our change.

We are just about on schedule for 4am this morning.  The final backup is finishing now and we have a server reboot and we'll be back online and running in just a few moments.  Again.  Your patience with our upgrade is most appreciated.

Within the next 15-20 min we should be completed and running normally.

Our upgrade is just about complete.  We were hoping for a 1:00am Sunday bring up, but we're probably about an hour or so out yet.  Your patience is very much appreciated during this update.

Regarding the question with the Kimpex Cargo Trunks.  From Kimpex directly, they are molded/designed specifically to keep out water, however, there is no seal, or gasket on the trunk itself.

We appreciate your comments about our absence from the Big East snow show. We had been doing that show for a number of years and it was an extremely difficult decision not to attend. We made the decision not to do any shows based on the declining show sales we have experience over the past few years, to the point where, after all of the hard work the show actually lost money.

As everyone is aware, the economy is soft everywhere and like many businesses, we have positioned ourselves for the long run by getting leaner with staffing and we simply do not have an extra ten to twelve employees to prepare for and take to a show like that.

Furthermore, we decided to take those marketing dollars that went into the show expenses and reallocate those to launch a weekly e-mail special campaign for each of our industries, those being ATV, Harley motorcycle, metric motorcycle and snowmobile. If we have your e-mail address, you should already have received two money saving e-mails. If not you will want to sign up at our website. Thats what I figured.  It appears to me like a good opportunity for Aftermarket companies.  Skidoo gets $150+ for the units which appear to be little more than a small heating wire attached to your visor.

We checked and did not find anything through our vendors. There is nothing else that we are aware of that is available in the aftermarket. You will probably have to get it through a Ski-Doo dealer, unfortunately.
